The Role of English in India

      The Role of English in India

This Essay argues that the concept of English as a second language is not a purely pedagogic construct and has to be properly understood in the larger historical, social and education context. The concept is designed to give English a Pre-eminent position relative to the Indian language in the educational and, Consequently the Socio-political set up. It has also been employed to the Indian languages in the educational, and Consequently the Sociopolitical set up. It has been employed to discourage the study and learning of classical languages, particularly Sanskrit which has contributed to the rootless ness of the young Indian minds. English as a second language along with other Indian minds. It is then argued that there is a fundamental illegality in treating English as a second language along with other Indian languages, and it is this illegality which accounts for the poor ‘Standards’ of English in spite of the tremendous investment in ELT.
 (I)English is second language after one or more Indian languages, which are primary and more significantly,
(ii) In School Education, the second language is what is introduced after the primary stage and has a pedagogical as well as a functional definition,

1) English is the language of knowledge (science and technology),
2) English is the language of liberal, modern thinking;
3) English is our window on the world;
4) English is the link language;
5) English is the library language; English is the language of reason;
6) English is the lingua-franca.

To wind up in this way we can say we that English language has became modern and global language and performing very vital role in india
Without English language many official and international communication not govern.

Forest school is a type of  outdoor education  in which children (or adults) visit forests/woodlands, learning personal, social and technical skills. It has been defined as "an inspirational process that offers children, young people and adults regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence through hands-on learning in a woodland environment". Forest school is both a  pedagogy  and a physical entity, with the use often being interchanged. 10.modernist poems analysis

Modernist poems analysis 1.) ‘The Embankment‘ - T. E. Hulme Once, in finesse of fiddles found I ecstasy, In a flash of gold heels on the hard pavement. Now see I That warmth’s the very stuff of poesy. Oh, God, make small The old star-eaten blanket of the sky, That I may fold it round me and in comfort lie. Probably the most striking trait of the poem is the very intense use of alliterations: fantasia, fallen, finesse of fiddles, found, the flashes… In other words, that musical quality (the  melopoeia , in Pound’s terms) that results from the softness of the sound of ‘f’. The soft rhythm redirects our attention to the poem: the music of the ‘f’ not only resembles the music of fiddles, it also highlights them reinforcing the image. The effect of softness is very similar to  Joyce’s  “the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling” in the final paragraph of  The Dead . 2.) "Darkness" - Joseph Campbell Darkness ...
