1.How can you explain that 'what' Virginia Woolf wanted to say (for example, the complexity of human relationship, the everyday battles that people are at in their relationship with near and dear ones, the struggle of a female artist against the values of middle/upper class society etc) can only be said in the way she has said?

Ans-

in this novel Virginia Woolf deeply says about art and life how connected with each other .she uses a theme of the transience of life and work. She uses the narrative technique "stream of consciousness" very ideally . the character of mrs.Ramsay shows "traditional old easel woman" and character of Lilly brisco shows "the new woman" so all this charter thinks about life and relation but as we know that the life's rule about relation is that relations are not same in every age of life ,our thoughts and idea changes , relationship with near and dear ones.

2.Do you agree: "The novel is both the tribute and critique of Mrs. Ramsay"? Can we read Mrs. R in context of the idea of Ideal Indian Woman.

Ans.

Yes, we can says that the novel is a tribute and critique of Mrs.
Ramsay because from the beginning of novel we can see "mrs.ramsay stand strong like the light house amidst" she cares all family members. she is center in this Lilly's painting .

yes, we can also read as ideal Indian woman because she is look like traditional old woman ,who follow all the rules of patriarchal society made.

3.Considering symbolically, does the Lighthouse stand for Mrs. Ramsay or the narrator (Virginia Woolf herself who is categorically represented by Lily)?

Ans.
To The Lighthouse is full of various symbols. The Lighthouse itself is the biggest symbol, suggesting many things.
Lighthouse guides to those who are travelling in the sea. it is used for Mrs.Ramsay in the novel. She stands alone like lighthouse and keeps united to family. She is strong like lighthouse in between emotionally shattered family members. Lighthouse is also symbol of spiritual strength and emotional guidance. When there is no hope or direction in sea, it is lighthouse which helps there. The same important place is of Mrs.Ramsay holds in the novel.Lily Briscoe’s Painting also symbolizes woman’s struggle in patriarchal society.

4.

What does the catalogue named as 'Army and Navy' signify? What does cutting of 'Refrigerator' signify?

Ans.
The catalogue in To the Lighthouse does not have a date, but it does have a name but its connected with War and consumption are linked in the same object. she use this object from history Time is slightly timeless in To the Lighthouse, but let us say that the first section of the book is set in 1911, give or take a couple of years. Virginia mind is therefore oscillating between 1911 and 1926, and her refrigerator partakes of both times. the refrigerator is also a symbol of change, of technology changing and presumably improving human culture. The refrigerator is an instrument of science, and it occupies the same sphere as the lighthouse.

10.modernist poems analysis

Modernist poems analysis 1.) ‘The Embankment‘ - T. E. Hulme Once, in finesse of fiddles found I ecstasy, In a flash of gold heels on the hard pavement. Now see I That warmth’s the very stuff of poesy. Oh, God, make small The old star-eaten blanket of the sky, That I may fold it round me and in comfort lie. Probably the most striking trait of the poem is the very intense use of alliterations: fantasia, fallen, finesse of fiddles, found, the flashes… In other words, that musical quality (the  melopoeia , in Pound’s terms) that results from the softness of the sound of ‘f’. The soft rhythm redirects our attention to the poem: the music of the ‘f’ not only resembles the music of fiddles, it also highlights them reinforcing the image. The effect of softness is very similar to  Joyce’s  “the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling” in the final paragraph of  The Dead . 2.) "Darkness" - Joseph Campbell Darkness ...

Structuralism and Literary Criticism: Gerard Genette

In literary theory, structuralism is an approach to analyzing the narrative material by examining the underlying invariant structure. Garrard Genette gives the Narratology in order to understand the structure of the literature. It consists of five parts: 1) Order 2) Frequency 3) Duration 4) Voice 5) Mood  And here I have tried to analyze the movie.  For example, in "Haider” director vishal bharadwaj taken plot and story from Shakespeare’s play “hamlet”. But here director change the plot background, place and theme. When we see the Kenneth branagh’s hamlet starting with the statue of king hamlet. And At the end director gave very typical end all the characters are died.  but in  haider movie  director  vishal bharadwaj is very confused about end so he do not have any end all the major charter is alive but here at the end is depends upon audience . Question is as it raised in mind  “To be or not to be”.   Another examp...

OD3 -Education System: School in Forest

Forest school is a type of  outdoor education  in which children (or adults) visit forests/woodlands, learning personal, social and technical skills. It has been defined as "an inspirational process that offers children, young people and adults regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence through hands-on learning in a woodland environment". Forest school is both a  pedagogy  and a physical entity, with the use often being interchanged. The plural "schools" is often used when referring to a number of groups or sessions. But now a day’s our education system is not properly work for students purpose but work for money it’s like huge business .so our education system is also class based that real picture is shown in this image given here .we have to do Our education system is judging students not by their own ability but they compare one student with others. Other thing here we find that we human beings have that ability to...
